Happy Pub Day to MODERN FRIENDSHIP!
My book is a thing in the world
People, the day is here.
My book, Modern Friendship, is now available anywhere books are sold. I mean, look at her:
I toyed with the idea of writing a book about friendships in 2019, but I wasn’t sure what I wanted to say. I decided to hold off until the timing felt right. I’m so glad I listened to my gut.
I knew I wanted to write this book in January 2021 after losing my father due to Covid-related complications. My father’s passing broke my heart. But knowing he didn’t get to say goodbye to his cherished friends shattered me.
It made me realize that I don’t want to leave this planet without my dear friends knowing how much I value them.
So I set out to write a book that explains exactly why we lose touch with friends and, more importantly, how to prevent that from happening.
Above all, my #1 goal was to NOT BE BORING. I wanted this book to feel NEW and EXCITING. I worked hard to find stories you (hopefully) haven’t heard before.
This book is the best thing I’ve ever written. It’s vulnerable, moving and hilarious.
Books are expensive so I did everything I can to make this book the best value for you as possible. For the price of lunch at Sweetgreen, I will tell you everything you need to know about having friends as a busy adult.
I packed the book with fun exercises you’ll actually want to do. I even included a 14-day Friendship Cleanse so you can make impactful changes quickly.
You WILL have better friendships in two weeks or less after reading this book.
You WILL come away with achievable strategies for keeping your friendships close.
You WILL finish the book feeling optimistic and empowered.
Thanks for your support with this project. It means everything to me!
Where else you can find me:
I had a blast being a guest on the Liz Moody Podcast. We talked for an hour-and-a-half! It was incredible.
“Our phones are full of friends we love, but we rarely contact them. That’s not a knock on us. This lack of communication is because friendships aren’t just about caring. They need an about, a clear and compelling reason to stay active.”
I’m in the The Washington Post today with my Op-ed, “Let’s make this the golden age of friendship”.My dear friend Allie Volpe interviewed me about our longstanding friendship for Vox
You can catch my episode on the Dear Nina podcast. We went over how my Friendship Cleanse works.
More to come! Stay tuned.
Your buddy,
Anna
